16 Inch White Ceiling Medallio

I bought 4 ceiling medallions and they are perfect for the purpose I purchased them for. We are remodelling a house and replacing square recessed lighting with ceiling fans. Every other place, on line and in store, priced these medallions at $20+. Even with shipping, the 4 I purchased were about the price of one. And they look clean and crisp around the fans. They arrived promptly and were packaged well.

Bought this to cover a square hole in the ceiling when I hung a drop light fixture above the wet bar upstairs, replacing a 35 year old built in light in the ceiling. Works perrfect - easy to hang (very lightweight) and paints smoothly to blend in with the sheetrock.

From the picture, we were expecting it to have a smooth surface. However, it is a wood grain surface. Advertised as "contempo" but in reality, it is Colonial or something like that with the wood grain stuff. We discovered it was much too large for our purpose. I had thought I was ordering a 14" medallion, but somehow I purchased this.

However, those are MY problems, due to MY mistake of not reading the ad copy or paying attention to the size. This is a very nice item if you are looking for a wood grain medallion. Looks well-made and will do the job nicely in the right application. Just make sure this is the size you really wanted.
