This fan is very quiet, and a delight. It is perfect for my small 11' x 11' x 9' kitchen. I thought I would be happy with it, but I really didn't expect to be so delighted. It makes a big difference in the Summer to even wanting to be in the kitchen. I did not install it, but my husband did with very little complaint. We have decided to purchase a similar fan for our bedroom. For that use we will order one with a remote.
