I bought an Emerson Tilo fan + LK103 light, but they would not work independently using either the 4-position switch provided with the fan/pull chain or a simple wall switch. Emerson's ridiculous customer service 800 number let me know that I had to buy the SW405 remote control to get the fan and light working independently. I didm installed it, and still no luck. I had an electrician re-install, and again no luck. With the remote control neither the fan or the light would work at all! Now I'm out about $200 for the fan + about $70 for the light + $70 for the remote + $60 for the electrician.
The fan instructions are totally ridiculous w/ no help on getting the codes to work, etc.
Next time I'll just go to Home Depot and get a $59 fan + light.
No more Emerson products....ever!
