The fan/light takes four 60W type B10 Candelabra bulbs. My one reason for purchasing this fan was because of the description of using four 60W standard bulbs. It is a beautiful fan and you can not go wrong purchasing a Hunter Fan. The light bulb description is incorrect. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Max Universe (Dallas, TX USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Hunter 25582 The Studio Four-Light 52-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Frosted Globes (Tools & Home Improvement) This is a beautiful ceiling fan with lights that operates quietly and is easy to install. My only complaint is that it does not take standard A19 light bulbs. It uses the new smaller base bulbs that reduce the risk of fires in houses with shoddy electrical wiring becuase the maximum wattage on those bulbs is 60W. What does this mean? Well the amount of light this ceiling fan puts out is not as high as I would like. Sure it is supposedly a little safer but with my older ceiling fans that do take a standard bulb, I am able to use 100W replacement flourescent bulbs that only use 20W power. These provide the level of light that I want while saving energy and reducing the risk of fire. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Hunter 25582 The Studio Four-Light 52-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Frosted Globes (Tools & Home Improvement) Hunter Fans stand totally apart from other brands. I don't know what makes them so much better, quiet, balanced, stylish, reasonably priced, but they are. I've purchased them for years and there is no comparison in performance and installation. I just purchased two of these and am highly pleased! If you want a good fan, buy a Hunter! |
