This one is a delight to use. A light touch of the left button is full bright. Full dim is the right. Pressure changes the level with either. The fan speed buttons are very easy to use. I love it!
The only caveat is that I had to take one back due to its "having a mind of its own" and turning the lights on randomly(as often as 3 times in a night). The replacement has worked perfectly, as has the one in my son's room. Nevertheless, I have encountered this problem with previous Hunter remotes, so I know it happens. If it does for you, don't hesitate to exchange it! 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Hunter 27148 Fan/Light Remote Control (Tools & Home Improvement) My husband and I bought this remote control along with a Hunter Fan, installed it, and ever since, the fan AND light have a mind of their own. At random times during the day and night the fan and/or light or both will turn on for no reason at all. We did a little test where we changed the frequency on the transmitter first to see if that was what was causing the problem. Theoretically the transmitter shouldn't have been communicating with the receiver since they were on separate frequencies. As usual, the fan and light turned on for no reason at all. So, the problem isn't the transmitter alone. Its either a bad receiver or just RF interference. This weekend we're going to change the frequencies on both the transmitter and receiver to see if this works but after reading other reviews on a different model #, this doesn't sound like it'll do the trick. We shall see....Muhhahahhahha. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Jeff (Tampa) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Hunter 27148 Fan/Light Remote Control (Tools & Home Improvement) It works perfectly. I use it as a second control for a single fan. Just set the dip switches to match the other fan control. |
