I purchased two of these fans after searching for a fan that was high powered enough for good airflow and energy efficient. The fans came in the original factory boxes and I hired a handyman to put one in a low-ceiling basement bedroom and another in a normal 9ft ceiling bedroom. It only took about 15-20 minutes each, but he was a professional. The blades are two sided and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were coated with Hunter's special "Dust-Armor/nanotechnology" coating that reduces dust build up, which is great for an allergy and asthma sufferer like me. The dark wood side finish of the blades are very nice and the light oak-ish wood side look a little cheap. The light fixture is nicer and much whiter,with more detailing on the bowl, than the picture shows.One special 24 watt CFL bulb (GU24 base/100 watt light equivalent), is included and produces a lot of bright white,almost florescent looking light, (which can be good or bad depending on what your need for light...Read more

I have this fan hanging in my bedroom with a 3 ft downrod. I installed it about 2 months ago and it has been great. I picked this one because I wanted a bronze fan with a single white light cover and those are a little hard to find. I was surprised how long it took to install (about 2 1/2 hrs), but the instructions were fine & all parts there. The Amazon price was the best around and quick, hassle free delivery. The fan is working great, super quiet with not a speck of wobble! I'm very happy with my purchase.

I did not have any fixture in the ceiling where I wanted this fan so I had an electrician run the wires and switch. While he was here he put the fan up for me. It took him no time at all. The fan is beautiful and looks great in my living room. It runs extremely quiet and has no shake to it at all.
My only worry is that it does not have a normal light bulb, so I am nervous that it may be an expensive bulb to replace, but I haven't looked into that, it is a CFL bulb, so it should last a while.
