This is the most beautiful fan I have ever seen or owned. We thought however that they would be flush mount due to the picture and other information that we looked into. If you like them with a down rod you will not be disappointed. They are not quite like the picture either. They are brown on the base and blade hangers, not any other color, just to be clear. Several websites have them as silver toned. Like I said, they are beautiful but not flush mountable. The correct model # is actually 20499: the Maresia II in the Maresia box. I am truly pleased with this fan. I purchased this fan for a great room 21' x 21' with high ceilings. The fan comes with full function remote control for varying speed, direction and turning lights on/off. It is sturdy and very beautiful. Amazon's price also made it afforable for us. We did hire an electrician to install it as the fan was very heavy and required 20' ladder.
