This is my second Low Profile Fan, and my third Hunter Fan in the house. It mounts flush to the ceiling, perfect since i don't have high ceilings. I'll never buy another type of fan again. I have another brand and its noisy! If the room is quiet (while sleeping at night) you can hear the motor run. However, these Hunter fans are very quiet and work great. You can't hear the motor at all. I highly recommend Hunter Ceiling Fans.

We ordered this and it came in a very short time. We had two electrians install the fan and they did a great job. I would recommend two men doing in construction to put the fan up. Excellent product would buy another.

I was looking for a really quiet and reliable fan, and this one is perfect in that regard. On the highest speed, it makes almost no noise at all. It is indeed low profile, allowing it to fit my low ceilings without the feeling that I am about to be decapitated like the old fan. It would be extremely low profile if you left out the light kit, which adds a lot of the depth. However, the light kit is nice, with white shades that allow good lighting. The bulbs are unfortunately candelabra, but that is not Hunter's fault given legal restrictions.

Installation was a bit of a pain, because they really leave it all to you, down to shoving the rubber gromets into the screw holes on the blades. On the bright side, you won't have to hold the fan while doing the wiring, since it uses the modern "hook" system.
