It looks very attractive, is very quite, bright, and the fan has a lot of power. Someone commented that she had trouble with her remote control. My remote works perfectly. If I had to think of one negative it would be that it was a bit difficult to install - but I always find ceiling fans to be more difficult to install. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Hunter Westside II Model# 21621 Just put this fan in yesterday and so far I'm impressed with how nice it looks and works. It was a bit more complicated to install than many I've done in the past and the directions were vague on some points. I gave 4 stars because there is a low level hum from the fan, most audible on the slowest speed. I don't hear it with the computer running, so it shouldn't be much of an issue for me. Other than that it is very quiet, no wobble at all, moves a lot of air, has enough light for me(22W flourescent), and looks very good. The remote works real well and saved having to run wires to a wall switch. Found the fan as a closeout at Menard's for $103.
I would recommend this fan to a friend. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Hunter Westside II Model# 21621 I first tried to do the installation myself. It was not easy. It's hard to understand why so many wires are necessary. Wiring instructions did not agree with labels on wires. After a long time on hold with Hunter, I got it wired correctly. I turned on the fan, heard a loud pop, and then it didn't work. Seller was helpful, had Hunter call me. They sent me a new receiver. This time I had an electrician install it, and it worked. Now, 3 months later, sometimes when I turn it on the light doesn't come on. Sometimes it goes off after a while. I called Hunter, and they sent me yet another receiver, but that means I have to do an entire re-install. I am not happy. |
