Comment: The fan arrived broken. The screws that holds the extensions pulled out. I used it anyway. Otherwise the fan works fine.

Comment: The manufacturer's name was completely misleading. I thought it was a metal fan. However, it was made entirely of plastic including the casing. As soon as I saw that I packed it back up and returned it. Plastic fans do not push the air anywhere as much as a metal fan. There is no comparison. I need a new exhaust fan and this one would absolutely not do. I did not even have to turn it on to know.

Comment: Bought two of these fans because they have the exhaust and intake feature. Installation took about ten minutes, template was right on. One fan failed within the first thirty hours so I had to return the item . Return was not very taxing, company sent me an RMA form for FedEx. Had to drive to return sight which was only two miles. Wanted exchange but none was available. Like so many other reviews, Lasko has a problem with the on-off knob and it's habit of falling off. One fan's knob was already off when I opened the box. Second fan's knob was unfunctional till I got out the trusty super glue. Knob indicator is white on white background and difficult to see with older eyes. Magic marker solved that little problem.
All this being said, fan rules. Pretty quiet if you shim a little, and the cool air this fan draws in at night, on exhaust, makes me have to cover up. I placed mine in the kitchen window, and cracking the bedroom window brings in the sweetest cool breeze. Minor objections aside, I would recommend this fan. Second fan has been flawless since 7-22. Hope this continues.

Comment: I just installed this- drilled holes into my window frame and everything! I am concerned that the plastic is flimsy- the fan is tilting out from the window because of its own weight. The high speed is hardly better than the box fan it's replacing if at all. The switch is plastic and doesn't seem like it will last too long. I am really concerned for those with small children who might buy this as I believe a tug on the cord could bring it crashing in on them. Also, if you don't have screens and are depending on this to block the window off when expanded, don't! Once it gets out to about 34", it has hole cutouts that allow air through when the unit is not expanded.
