Minka Aire RC210 Fan Contol

After our child decided to crack open our original fan remote we ordered this replacement. It is more ergonomic and easy to use than the original, and worked like a charm right out of the box.

Buy with caution when purchasing these Minka Air remotes. My fan stated I needed an rc212 remote. Since my fan was made prior to July 2009 it actually needed an rc210. I retuned my rc212. Some of the rc210 remotes coming from Minka are mislabeled. The remote had a 210 sticker glued to it. A 210 only works if you have a transmitter with one set of four digit codes on the transmitter and wall control. This is the same setup as the rc210. The color of the lights seems to mean nothing. I was sold an rc210 clearly stated on the package but it had two sets of four codes. It did not work. Just too many numbers sent out by the remote. The instructions clearly show one set of four for the code setup for an rc210. Either someone switched the remotes or it was mislabeled by Minka. Since it was sold as new opened stock I don't know witch.

Initially ordered the wrong remote control for my Minka Aire ceiling fans. Returned product to vendor with no problems and very satisfied with their return policy and service. The correctly ordered remote controls work very well -- no complaints about performance. My only complaint is about the price of these remotes. Believe when I first purchased these remotes from my local fan store, they were about $20 each. Now, their list price is for double this amount. Be careful when ordering your Minka-Aire remote control because they do make more than one fan remote.
