Modern Fan BAL-BA 52" Ball Contemporary Energy Star DAMP Outdoor Brushed Aluminum Ceiling Fan

Purchased my first "Ball" about 6 months ago and it is flawless, powerful, quiet and very sturdy - the best fan ever! A month later I purchased another and it made a annoying humming noise like a cheap fan. Amazon was great and returned it. I reordered a replacement "Ball" and found the humming to be a bit better. However it's not nearly as quiet as the first one purchased. Additionally, the paint was poor quality on the edges of the blades and there was a scrape on the metal housing. For the price I would have expected better quality control. I would rate the first one I purchased a solid 5 stars, it's perfect. The others get a solid 1 star, they are not any better than a $50 fan from a big box store. I hope Modern Fan Company improves their quality, I would like to purchase from them again, but at this point I don't want the hassles.
