I have a couple of ceiling fans made by Hunter which came with remote control units. In less than 6 months both remote units failed in two different ways. Instead of throwing my money away on two more replacement kits by hunter, I opted to purchase a couple of these units instead.
Unlike most of the fan remote control units these have more features than on, off, and the three fan speeds.
Including the three fan speeds, you can also dim the lights, set the lights at lower level by default, set auto timing for lights and fans to come on and go off on a schedule you would like; and you can also set a room temperature on the remotes to automatically make the fans turn on and off as simple climate control feature.
The remotes and control units have a basic four dip switch ID system on each so you can use multiple remotes and controllers on separate fans in the same house, or like in my living room, I have multiple fans and lights running off of a single...Read more

I usually stick with Lutron, but I needed a remote that could control both the light and fan and the Lutron MIR-LFQMT-WH is far too expensive given that it's IR and not RF. So I decided to go with this one from Flow Angel.

I decided to go with this model rather than the one without the display because I liked that it included a light delay feature and room temperature gauge.
FAN CONTROL | Rating: 3/5
A blue button denotes the fan control. Each press adjusts the speed of the fan between off/low/medium/high. I didn't rate this higher since I'd like to have a way to turn the fan off from any power setting. Without the need, for example, to hit the...Read more

I fitted this on another brand of ceiling fan and it worked no problem. The thermostatic control works great. You adjust the set temperature via 2 buttons on the remote and when the room gets up to that temperature, the fan starts. The higher the room temperature, as measured at the remote control unit, gets above the set temperature, the faster the fan goes (within the limits of the fan of course - mine had 3 speeds). You can turn on or off the thermostatic control as well. If off, then you can use it as a manual remote control. It also turns on/off/dims the light if your fan is so equipped. The remote also has a delay for light so you can leave the room with the light on and it will turn off automatically. This is a nice feature as the fan light is the main light in my office room. Finally, the remote also has a fan timer. This allows you to set the fan to run for a certain number of hours (by the half-hour) and then it turns off.
Installation was simple and...Read more
