I have an open switch box and thought I could use power from the box for the switch and power from the ceiling for the receiver. It must be in a circuit. So this will work if you just want to add fan control to an existing circuit. I wanted to take 2 ceiling fans with switches in two different areas and put them into one box. This is not possible according to the directions.

I am very happy with the look and functionality of this product. I think it is a bit large though and I had a hard time fitting into my electrical box.

Wireless fan speed control MUST be wired to an existing wall switch location. Don't be fooled by the incomplete description.
