The Westinghouse Contempra IV fan is part of Westinghouse's "Hugger" series of fans and is ideal for rooms with low ceilings because it hangs down from the ceiling less than ordinary fans do.

The Contempra IV provides powerful cooling and air with its 52-inch, five-blade design. The blades are reversible, with one side being walnut and the other oak, providing versatility in home decorating. Both sides coordinate handsomely with the fan's polished brass finish.

The fan includes a four-light lighting kit with the four globes resting below and at the center of the fan in a square pattern, providing welcome light when necessary. The globes are made of frosted ribbed glass.

52-inch fans are best suited for large rooms such as living rooms, dining rooms, great rooms, and large bedrooms. The fan is covered with a 25 year limited warranty.--Jeffrey Dalto

Comment: These fans require Candelabra bulbs...not the standard bulbs listed in the description.

I'm returning them and am now hesitant to buy any of the other fans sold here because so many of the descriptions and title contradict themselves.

Comment: I bought this for my rental property. I didn't realize it took 4 candelabra bulbs but thats not a problem you can buy them in different wattages and styles and come two per pack . Nice fan for the price.

Comment: it's extremely light, great for low ceilings and/or apartments - and spins quietly but with strength! my boyfriend [who is a contractor] installed it, but said it was very easy to hook up and to make flush with the ceiling, avoiding almost any shakiness! it does feel somewhat flimsy so i'll update this review after a year or so, but after nonstop high spinning during 3 steamy hot nyc summer months, i love this thing! for $50 and amazon's free shipping, YOU CANNOT BEAT IT
